I made use of a 3 day weekend to go to Amsterdam for a weekend getaway that was well deserved. That's the perks of studying in London, you can just travel to another country for the weekend. It's casual.

Red Light district

The Pancake Bakery

De Drie Graefjes

Loetje Cafe

Poffertjes, stroopwafels, frites - from any vendor

 Seems like this is the default scenery of Amsterdam

 How touristy can you get?

 Really good pancakes. Recommend to anyone.

The "Hungarian" (Chorizo, bell pepper, cheese)

Apple and bacon pancake 

Blueberry pancake with ice cream 

Cheese. Everywhere. 

Blue/red/green cheese? 

 De Drie Graefjes - Red Velvet Cake

Cream cheese icing is good, not sickly sweet like some can be.

Cake itself is dense, not fluffy and moist.

 Soup of the day: Leek and potato

Be ready to be emotionally moved.
